Chris is a professional underwater cinematographer and photographer with in excess of 3000 dives and over fifteen years’ experience shooting for the television broadcast industry and charitable organisations. Chris got his big break in 2005 when the History Channel was making a documentary on the work he was doing excavating historical shipwrecks in Malaysia. With his boss not initially wanting to give away the position of the shipwreck, Chris was tasked with filming the remains of the boat and its ceramic cargo. He hasn’t looked back and since then and he been fortunate to work all over the globe capturing the best of the marine realm and the threats to it.


Broadcast credits have included the BBC’s Indian Ocean with Simon Reeve, BBC’s The Octopus In My House, The Discovery Channels Shark Week on shark bycatch, PBS’s When Whales Walked, Vice on HBO’s Countdown To Extinction, France 2/ Bonne Pioche's production For The Love of Sharks and Viceland’s Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia series. 


Chris is an ardent conservationist and his work reflects this through a series of investigative and natural history projects. This has ranged from hard hitting investigative productions that have exposed illegal trade in marine species such as shark fin, sea cucumbers and abalone to working to make people aware of how destructive and wasteful fishing methods are emptying are oceans.


Chris not only works with broadcasters but also with non-profits in this field to create and develop awareness campaign and educational materials. His most recent educational project is Be Gentle To Giants. Chris is one of the co-creators of this educational platform as well as the Director & DOP.  The platform is designed to creates code of conduct videos and accompanying media to inform divers and snorkelers on how to interact with marine megafauna.
